RES-1989-021 RESOLUTION NO. 89R-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING RESOLUTION 77R-471
RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES.
WHEREAS, the City Council did in 1977 adopt
Resolution 77R-471 pertaining to standards for the installation of
traffic control devices; and
WHEREAS, Section 21400 of the California Vehicle
Code was amended in 1984 to require cities to follow the uniform
standards and specification for official traffic control devices
adopted by the Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has followed the
uniform standards adopted by the Department of Transportation and
the standards adopted by Resolution 77R-471 are therefore obsolete.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Resolution No.
77R-471 be and it is hereby rescinded.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 31st day of January,
1989.
