RES-1989-038RESOLUTION NO. 89R- 38 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING APPENDIX "A" OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE GENERAL UNIT OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION. WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution 87R-510 which approved a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter "the Memorandum") between the City of Anaheim and the General Unit of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association (hereinafter "the Association") effective from October 16, 1987 through October 11, 1990; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated February 7, 1989 that the new classification of Systems Specialist be created and the old classifications of Documentation Specialist and Systems Representative be deleted; and WHEREAS, the Association is in agreement with the recommendations contained in said staff report; and WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend the Memorandum; which established rates of compensation for classifications assigned to the General Unit represented by the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that the amendments described above are in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Appendix "A" of the Memorandum previously adopted by Resolution No. 87R-510 is hereby amended as follow, s: 1. The classifications of Documentation Specialist and Systems Representative are hereby deleted effective February 3, 1989. 2. Effective February 3, 1989 the classification of Systems Specialist is added to Appendix "A" of the Memorandum and that commencing on February 3, 1989 through October 12, 1989, the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in said classification shall be allocated to the following salary schedule in the Salary Schedule Master as follows: CLASSIFICATION SALARY SCHEDULE STEP RANGE Systems Specialist 1619 J-E 3. Effective October 13, 1989 through October 11, 1990, the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in said classification shall be allocated to the following salary schedule in the Salary Schedule Master as follows: CLASSIFICATION SALARY SCHEDULE STEP RANGE Systems Specialist 1684 J-E AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended, the Memorandum adopted by Resolution No. 87R-510 shall remain in full force and effect.
