RES-1989-095RESOLUTION NO. 89R-95
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING A PORTION OF KATELLA
AVENUE TO BE A COUNTY HIGHWAY FOR A LIMITED
PERIOD.
WHEREAS, that portion of Katella Avenue from Douglass
Road in the City of Anaheim to 400 feet west of Struck Avenue in
the City of Orange, part of which is within the City Limits of
Anaheim, is deemed to be a highway of County-wide importance; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange proposes to require rights
of way and improve said portion of Katella Avenue; and
WHEREAS, by Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 89-158
dated February 7, 1989, the County has declared said portion of
Katella Avenue to be a County highway during the period of
improvement of said road by County; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim concurs with said
improvement of Katella Avenue by County and desires to consent to
the establishment of said protions of Katella Avenue as a County
highway during the period of said improvement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that pursuant to the
provisions of Section 1701, Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of
the Streets and Highways Code, the City of Anaheim does concur
with the Orange County Board of Supervisors Resolution No. 89-158
dated February 7, 1989 establishing those portions of Katella
Avenue from Douglass Road to the easterly City Limit of Anaheim,
lying within the City Limits of Anaheim, to be a County highway
during the period of improvement by the County of Orange.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
authorized and directed to transmit to the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Orange a certified copy of this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 4th day of April ,
1989.
