A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN DESIG-
NATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 249, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim,
adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 27th day of February, 1989, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider changing the land use designation for the
area of land consisting of approximately 328.9 acres located
southeast of the southerly terminus of Weir Canyon Road, bounded
on the northwest by the East Hills Planned Community, on the
southeast by The Summit of Anaheim Hills Specific Plan
development, and on the southwest by The Highlands at Anaheim
Hills Specific Plan development; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC89-58 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 249 be adopted by the City
Council changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area in accordance with Exhibit "A"; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the llth day of
April, 1989, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 249 and did give notice thereof in the manner and as
provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
public hearing and did give all persons interested therein an
opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports and
did consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 249 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 249 to the General Plan
changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed area in
accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with the City be, and the same
is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. Z49 as herein adopted and
approved·
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said approval of General
Plan Amendment No. 249 is subject to the following conditions,
each of which shall be deemed incorporated into the text of the
Land Use Elements of said General Plan by this reference to the
same extent as if fully set forth therein:
I ·
That the approval of the subject amendment does not
guarantee the development of 61 dwelling units (a total
of 1,180 project-wide), but provides for a range of 0 -
95 dwelling units for the subject study area. The
actual number of units shall be determined in connection
with the consideration of the Specific Plan and
subdivision approvals.

That the applicant shall establish a mechanism to
provide on-going monitoring and transmittal of
information to the City concerning the fiscal impact of
future developments within the subject amendment area.

That future development within the subject amendment
area will conform with all requirements of Specific Plan
88-1, Amendment No. 1, as adopted.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 11th day of April, 1989.
