A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
85R-196 PERTAINING TO PARAMEDIC FEES TO BE
CHARGED BY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM
WHEREAS, Section 16.24.020 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
provides that the City Council shall by resolution establish all
fees for paramedic services to residents and businesses of the
City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has by Resolution No. 85R-196
established such paramedic fees; and
WHEREAS, in order to assist in defraying the cost of
paramedic services, the City Council desires to amend Resolution
No. 85R-196 by establishing new service fees to be paid by persons
who utilize or benefit from having said paramedic service readily
available; and
WHEREAS, the fees hereinafter established do not exceed
the estimated reasonable cost of providing paramedic services in
the City of Anaheim for which the fees are charged; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has complied with the notice
provisions of the California Government Code pertaining to
establishing fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that the fees set forth in Resolution No. 85R-196
be, and the same are hereby, amended as follows:
"Voluntary Subscription Fee
$56.00 per year per
residence, business or
industry
Fee for Service
Cost Per Call
Emergencies requiring
Basic Life Support
Services by paramedics
and/or engine companies
$150.00
Emergencies requiring
Advanced Life Support
services and paramedic
accompaniment to a
medical facility
$250.00
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ef£ective date of the fees
set forth in this Resolution shall be July 1, 1989.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9Lh day of May, 1989.
