A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE 1989 COUNTY
OF ORANGE SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT PLAN
WHEREAS, the State of California requires counties to
develop and implement a Solid Waste Management Plan (hereinafter
"the Plan") which shall include all short-to-long-term countywide
solid waste management plans and activities; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said requirement the County of
Orange has developed its Plan after review and comment by the
State and Orange County cities, special districts, private
industry, and the public; and
WHEREAS, the County of Orange has submitted the Plan to
the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is on file in the office of
the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, Title 14, Chapter 2, Article 7, Section 17147 of
the California Administrative Code requires each city within the
County to act upon the Plan within ninety (90) days after receipt,
and if the City fails to act within ninety (90) days, the City
shall be deemed to have approved the Plan as submitted; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Maintenance has reviewed the
Plan and recommends its approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that it does hereby approve the 1989 County of
Orange Solid Waste Management Plan.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby
directed to send a copy of this resolution of approval to the
Director of the General Services Agency for the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 6th day of June, 1989.
