ATrACHlqENT A HOW THE PARK DEDICATION ORDINANCE (PDO) FORMULA IS COMPgrED The formula for determining the fee exacted from a developer, which is set by State law, is based upon Anaheim's adopted standard o£ two acres of parkland for every 1000 new residents. A determination is made of the number of new residents to be accommodated by a new project. Then the acreage requirement is assessed and, if fees are to be required, the cost per acre of park acquisition and development is multiplied times the acreage requirement for the project.---~e following illustrates how the formula would be applied index the existing conditions and under the revised ordinance: PDO Fee = (Cost/acre + Cost/acre ) x City (Acquisition Development) Park Std. 1000 x Residents/ I)welling Unit Existing Single Family Fee ($345~000 + $65,000) X 2 X 3.30 = $2706.00 1000 Proposed ($430,000 + $74,426) x 2 x 3.50 : $3329.21 1000 HONES Anaheim Brea Buena Park Costa Mesa Fountain Valley Fullerton 6arden 6rove Hunt ington Beach Irvine Los Alamito$ Newport Beach Orange Placent ia San Juan Capistrano Santa Aha Tu$ t in Westminister ¥orba Linda These cities are IO1SK ATTACHMENT B C0[~ARISON I~ITH OTH~ CIT~ PARK IN LIIII FEES RATES LA~ SINGL~ ~ FANILY [~]LTIPLE )DBII.R 1988 $2706.00 $1820.40 $1394.00 1989 $1524.60 $ S9~.00 $ 329.00 1981 $ 600.00 $ 600.00 $ 600.00 1979 $1811.00 $1229.00 $ 474.00 1983 $2000.00 $1095.00 SZO00.O0 1986 $1~00.00 $1~00.00 $1300.00 1989 $1200.00 $1200.00 $1200.00 1982 $2595.00 $1817.00 $1180.00 1986 $4740.00 $3240.00 $2440.00 1989 $5159.00 $2329.00 $1721.00 1988 $6984.00 $6984.00 $6984.00 1988 $1500.00 $ 800.00 $ 600.00 1987 $1558.00 $1135.00 $ 300.00 1987 $2675.00 $2675.00 $2675.00 1988 $2300.00 $1530.00 $1145.00 N/A $ 500.00 $ 500.00 $ 500.00 1980 $ 785.00 $ 525.00 $ 150.00 1988 $1345.00 $1042.00 $1042.00 in the process of updating their In Lieu Fee Rates
