PERSONNEL RULE 22, LEAYE WIThOU2' PAY, AS SET FORTh iN
RESOLUTION NO. 88R-166
WHEREAS, on April 26, 1988, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
88R-166 adopting Personnel Rules covering management, confidential and
non-represented part-time employees; and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director recommended in a staff report
dated July 18, 1989, that the Leave Without Pay Rule be amended to provide
consistent wording concerning waiver of medical premium; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that
approval of the recommended additional wording is in the best interests of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that Resolution No. 88R-166 be amended by revising Section 22.03 of
Personnel Rule 22, Leave Without Pay, to read as follows:
"22.03 In the event that leave without pay is granted an employee for
reasons of illness or physical incapacity due to illness or
injury, the City of Anaheim shall continue to pay for any
hospitalization and major medical insurance previously paid for
by the City, for a maximum of six (6) complete months. The City
shall waive the payment of employee premiums for any City
sponsored medical, dental and life insurance benefit plans for a
maximum of six (6) complete months."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to
Resolution No. 88R-166 is July 21, 1989.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent amended,
Resolution No. 88R-166 shall remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim this 25th day of July , 1989.
