A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CiTY OF
ANAHEIM ACCEPTING A GRANT FROM THE CALIFORNIA
OFFICE OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING FOR
IMPLEMENTING THE PROPERTY CRIME PROGRAM, AGREEING
TO PROVIDE REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS, AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE ALL
NECESSARY DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH SAID GRANT.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to undertake a certain
project designated the Property Crime Program to be funded in part
from funds made available through State General Funds as authorized
by Chapter 477, 1985 Statutes, Career Criminal Apprehension Program
as amended, and Federal funds as authorized by the Justice
Assistance Act of 1984, both administered by the Office of Criminal
Justice Planning (hereinafter referred to as O.C.J.P.).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of the
City of Anaheim is authorized, on its behalf to submit the attached
application for State funds for Property Crime Program purposes to
O.C.J.P. and is authorized to execute on behalf of the City of
Anaheim the attached Grant Award/Proposal for Law Enforcement
purposes including any extensions or amendments thereto.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the applicant agrees to provide
all matching funds required for said project (including any
extensions or amendment thereto) under the Property Crime Program
and the rules and regulations of O.C.J.P. and that funds will be
appropriated as required thereby.
BE I2' FURTHER RESOLVED that grant funds received hereunder
shall not be used to supplant other law enforcement expenditures
controlled by the City of Anaheim.
IT IS AGREED that any liability arising out of the
performance of this Grant Award agreement by the City of Anaheim,
its officers and employees, including civil court actions for
damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the
authorizing agency. The State of California and O.C.J.P. disclaim
responsibility for any such liability.
