A RESOLUTION OF ~}tE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
CONSTRUCTION AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC WORK.
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity
construction and completion of a public improvement
the City of Anaheim described in Exhibit A attached
incorporated by reference herein; and
require the
(Project) in
hereto and
WHEREAS, the City Council instructed the Public Works
Department to prepare or cause to be prepared detailed designs,
plans, profiles, drawings and specifications, and estimates of
quantities and costs and make necessary surveys for the
construction of said Project; and
WHEREAS, said Public Works Department has prepared or
caused to be prepared said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawiugs and specifications for the construction of said Project
and has submitted the same to the City Council; and
WItEREAS, the City Council finds that said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications for said
Project above mentioned are in accordance with good engineering
practice and are adequate to serve the needs and requirements of
the City of Anaheim and the citizens and residents in said area
for the purposes for which they are intended, and that they are
adequate for the construction of said Project and should be
approved.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans, profiles,
drawings and specifications for said Project hereinabove mentioned
and described be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
BE IT FURTIIER RESOLVED that said Project shall be
constructed in accordance with said detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications as hereby approved, and such
addenda or modifications thereto as may be approved prior to the
awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals for
the furnishing of ail plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and ali utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to construct and
complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance
with said detailed designs, plans, profiles, drawings and
specifications the Project hereinabove mentioned and described,
and fixing the Bid Opening Date as set forth in Exhibit A at the
hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as the date and hour for the opening of
said bids at the City Council Chamber in the Civic Center in the
City of Anaheim.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders shall be required to enter into a contract with the City of
Anaheim in the manner and form approved by the City Attorney of the
City of Anaheim for the construction, installation and completion
of said Project hereinabove mentioned and described, in accordance
with the plans and specifications, the notice inviting sealed
proposals, this resolution and all applicable City Ordinances or
Code Sections and the laws of the State of California, and shall be
required to post bonds and insurance in the amounts and within the
time required by law, as specified in the notice inviting sealed
proposals, and in a form approved by the City Attorne7.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of February, 1988.

EXHIBIT A
PROdECT:
The work to be done consists of the installation of two new
traffic signals on Broadway at Clementine Street and the Fire
Station. The work shall include the installation of
traffic signal equipment necessary for proper operation and
system control. This work shall include furnishing all
necessary material, services, labor, tools, equipment and all
apurtenant work as shown on the plans and delineated in the
Specifications on file in the office of the City Engineer.
