A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF AVENIDA DE
SANTIAGO.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of February, 1988, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion on
Avenida de Santiago, more specifically described as follows:
PARCEL A
A portion of Avenida de Santiago as shown on a map recorded
in Book 208, pages 15 and 16 of Parcel Maps records of said
Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Tract No. 7587 as shown
on said map; thence N 12° 27' 42" W, 20.02 feet to the True
Point of Beginning; thence N 77° 30' 14" E, 109.04 feet to a
point; thence S 68° 48' 40" W, 91.46 feet to a point in a
tangent curve, having a radius of 728.00 feet; thence along
said curve thru a central angle of 01° 46' 15",
Southwesterly, an arc distance of 22.50 feet to a point of
reverse curvature, a radial line to said point bears N 22°
57' 35" W; thence along a curve having a radius of 47.00
feet, Southwesterly and Northwesterly thru a central angle of
41° 16' 57" an arc distance of 33.86 feet to a point of
reverse curvature, a radial line to said point bears N 18°
19' 22" E; thence along a curve having a radius of 53.00
feet, Northwesterly and Southwesterly thru a central angle of
102° 36' 02", an arc distance of 94.91 feet to a point of
cusp, a radial line to said point bears N 84° 16' 40" W;
thence along a curve having a radius of 53.00 feet,
Northeasterly and Southeasterly thru a central angle of 167°
44' 10", an arc distance of 156.62 feet to a point of reverse
curvature, a radial line to said point bears N 42° 31' 37" E;
thence along a curve having a radius of 25.00 feet,
Southeasterly thru a central angle of 55° 01' 23", an arc
distance of 24.01 feet, to the True Point of Beginning.
PARCEL B
That portion of the 6.00 foot public utility easement, as
shown on said Parcel Map, which lies Northerly and adjacent
to the above described portion of Avenida De Santiago, and
that portion of the 6.00 foot public utility easement lying
within Tract No. 7587 as shown on a Parcel Map recorded in
Book 208, pages 15 and 16 of Parcel Maps records of said
Orange County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Tract No. 7587;
thence N 12° 27' 42" W, 20.02 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence N 12° 29' 46" W, 6.00 feet; thence N 77°
30' 14" E, 148.29 feet; thence S 68° 48' 40" W, 39.70 feet
thence S 77° 50' 14" W, 109.04 feet to the True Point of
Beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 16th day of
February, 1988.
