A RESOLUTION OF THE City COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT
LOCATED SOUTH OF ORANGETHORPE AVENUE, EAST OF
LEMON STREEt'. (87-18A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 17th day of May, 1988, a public hearing
was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning
said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence
submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement
hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or
prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation
facilities.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that public
utility easement, more specifically described as follows:
A portion of a 12.00 foot wide public utility
easement recorded September 28, 19S1 in Torrens as
Document No. 24144 under Certificate of Title 14855,
being located within the Northeast quarter of Section
8, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S.B.B.~M., in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, the ~esterly line of which is described
as follows:
Commencing at a point in the North line of said
Northeast quarter, 387.5 feet east of the Northwest
corner of said Northeast quarter; thence S 00e 17'
20" E, 48.00 feet to a point on the existing
Southerly right of way line of Orangethorpe Avenue,
said point being the Point of Beginning; thence S 00°
50' 12" E, 1152.00 feet to the True Point of
Beginning; thence continuing S 00° 30' 12" E, 486.00
feet to the point of terminus of said area to be
abandoned.
BE IT FORTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.

is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder o£
the County of Orange.
