A RESOI.UTION OF THE C~5[Y COUNCIl, OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 88}{ 104 W}IICH ADOPTEI) THE MEMORANDUM OF
UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AND THE ANAHEIM FIREFIGHTERS ASSOCIATION,
LOCAL NO, 2899 TO INCLUDE AN AGREEMENT
REACHED RELATIVE TD ARTICLE 54, INSURANCES
WHEREAS, on the 8th day of March, 1988, the City
Council adopted Resolution No. 88R-104, approving a Memorandum
of Understallding between tile City of Anaheim and the Anaheim
Fil'efighters Associatioe, Local No. 2899; and
WHEREAS, the Humau Resources Director met and
confe]'red with officials and employee representatives of the
Anaheim Firefighters Association, Local No. 2899, to discuss
specific concerns relative to amending Article 54, Insurances of
the Memorandum of Understandiog; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated
April 26, 1988, between the parties has been prepared and signed
amending provisions of the current Memorandum of Understanding;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that approval of said Letter of Understanding is in the
bcst interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim dnes find that said Letter of
Understanding dated April 26. 1988, between the City of Anaheim
aud the Anaheim Fircfighters Association, Local No. 2899, be,

AND THE

The Anaheim FJrefighters Association, hereinafter referred to as
the "AFA", and the City of Anaheim, hereinafter referred to as
Ibc "CITY", after meeting and conferring, have reached the
following understanding to provide an enhanced 1959 Survivor
Benefit amending the current Memoraadam of Understanding as

ANAHEIM agrees tn adopt Section 21382.4 of
the California Government Code, which will
increase monthly 1959 Survivor Benefits
for Full Formula members to $350 (1), $700

possible.
