A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE COMMENCE-
MENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR, AND AGREEING TO THE
EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY TAXES IN CONJUNCTION WITH,
THE REORGANIZATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY FORMING
THE COMMON SPHERE OF INFLUENCE AND BOUNDARY
LINES BETWEEN THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE CITY
OF BUENA PARK DESIGNATED AS ORANGE COUNTY
MUNICIPAL REORGANIZATION NO. 114.
WHEREAS,
reached agreement
said cities; and
the City Councils of Anaheim and Buena Park have
as to the present and ultimate boundaries of
WHEREAS, the subject proposal is made for the purpose of
establishing identifiable boundaries, mutuality of interests, and
enabling the planning and development of the subject territory in
accordance with mutually acceptable goals and objectives; and
WHEREAS Section 99(b) of the Revenue and Taxation Code
requires the adoption of a resolution by local agencies agreeing
to the exchange of property tax revenues prior to the executive
officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO") issuing
a certificate of filing for a municipal reorganization; and
WHEREAS, the Cities of Anaheim and Buena Park have
mutually agreed to the realignment of their Spheres of Influence
and to the transfer of jurisdiction of incorporated territory to
obtain consistency of jurisdictional boundaries within and along
the common Sphere of Influence line, as shown on and defined by
the attached map and legal description.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim:
1. That said reorganization shall involve an amendment to a
common Sphere of Influence line consisting of the transfer of
jurisdiction of territory within the incorporated limits of the
Cities of Anaheim and Buena Park.
2. That subject territory is more fully defined by the map
and legal description appendixed to the justification of the
proposal.
3. That the tax revenues subject to negotiations accruing to
the City of Anaheim for that territory within the jurisdiction of
the City of Buena Park shall be allocated in total to the City of
Anaheim in accordance with the historical allocation of such funds
within the City of Buena Park, as determined by the County Auditor.
4. That the Local Agency Formation Commission is hereby
petitioned to conduct a hearing and make a determination pursuant
to the Cortese-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act of 1985
(Section 56000 et seq. Government Code) designating the City of
Anaheim as the conducting authority to initiate reorganization
proceedings.
5. That the City Clerk shall furnish a copy of this
resolution to the City of Buena Park, Board of Supervisors,
Executive Officer of LAFCO, and the County Auditor in satisfaction
of the requirements of Section 99(b) (6) of the Revenue and
Taxation Code.

(Transfer of Territory from Buena Park to Anaheim)
That portion of the North half of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast quarter
of Section 15, Township 4 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Los Coyotes, City
of Buena Park, County of Orange, State of California as shown on a map filed
in Book 51, Page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said county, more particularily
described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing boundary line of the City of Anaheim
as established by the "Knott-Cerritos Annexation", said angle point the intersection
of the "WesterLy line of the Southeasterly one quarter of the Southeasterly
one qnarter of said Section 15 with the Northeasterly right of way line of the
Pacific Electric Railway" as shown on said annexation map;
Thence leaving said existing boundary line N53°22'03"W., 324.44 feet along
sa£d Northeasterly line to its intersection with the Southeasterly right-of-way
i/ne of the Carbon Creek flood control channel as shown on said map;
Thence N.O8°O3'25'E., 279.69 feet along said Southeasterly line to an angle
point in said existing boundary line as established by said "Knott-Cerritos
Annexation";
Thence S.0°10'42"E., 298.10 feet along said existing boundary line per
said annexation to the Point of Beginning. The above described parcel of land
contains 0.888 acres, more or less.
