A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEFN
"`" THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD
OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL N0. 47.
WHEREAS, on July 15, 1986, the City Council adopted Resolution No.
86R-334, approving a Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Anaheim
and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 47; and
WHEREAS, the Labor Relations Director met and conferred with
officials and employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local No. 47, to discuss specific concerns relative to the
Kaiser Health Benefit Plan; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding dated September 29, 1988 between
the parties has been prepared and signed enhancing the Kaiser Health Benefit
Plan, said enhancements to be effective January 1, 1989; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of
Understancling.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council af th� City of
Anaheim that the Letter of Understanding dated September 2��, 1�88 between the
City of Anaheim and the International Brotherhood of Electr3ca� Workers, Local
No. 47, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference
herein, is hereby approved and said Memorandum of Understanfling is hereby
amended in accordance with the terms of said Letter of Understanding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this llth day of October , 1988.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING
BETWEEN THE
INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS
AND THE
- CITY OF ANAHEIM
The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), and the City of
Anaheim after meeting and conferring have reached an understanding on the
enhancement of the Kaiser Medical Plan benefit to provide for Vision Care
benefits at a 1989 cost of:
Single Party $1.41 per employee per month
2-Party $2.82 per employee per month
Family �3.99 per employee per month
The effective date of this enhancement sha.11 be January 1, 1989. The parties
agree that the cost of this enhancement shall be considered part of the amount
to be paid by the City as provided in Section 65.020 of the Memorandum of
Understanding between the Union and the City of Anaheim.
