A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY
IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE AND AUTHORIZING
THE TRANSFER OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of one obsolete
(;MC van #600 which the Anaheim Fire Department has determined to
be no longer needed for public use; and
WHEREAS, the market value of the van has been determined
to be $1,000 or less; and
WHEREAS, the city of Mexicali, Mexico, is in need of such
equipment in order to assist in meeting its paramedic emergencies;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that transferring the van
to Mexicali will promote good will and be beneficial toward
fostering positive international relations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that it would be
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to transfer the van
without cost in order to assist Mexicali.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
the City of Anaheim hereby approves the transfer of the van,
without cost, to the city of Mexicali, Mexico.
