87-203RESOLUTION NO. 87R-203 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF CENTER STREET (FORMERLY LINCOLN AVENUE), WEST OF PHILADELPHIA STREET. (87-3A) WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did, by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate certain public streets, highways or public service easements pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law; and WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law; and WHEREAS, on the 19th day of May, 1987, a public hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence concerning said proposed vacation; and WHEREAS, the City Council does find, from the evidence submitted, that the street, highway or public service easement Hereinafter specifically described is unnecessary for present or prospective public purposes including nonmotorized transportation facilities. WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place public utility facilities in use for which easements are not reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that no easements be reserved for such facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of that portion of Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue), more specifically described as follows: That certain real property in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, being a portion of Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue) lying adjacent to Lots 1 through 13, Block B, together with a portion of Lot 1, Block C, of the Center Tract, as shown on a map recorded in Book 14, Page 13 of Miscetlaneous Records, records of Los Angeles County, California, and being more particularly described as follows: Parcel 1 A strip of land 7.75 feet in width, lying Southerly of the following described line: Beginning at the centerline intersection of Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue) and Philadelphia Street, as shown on Parcel Map No. 86-143, recorded in Book 217, Pages 14 and 15 of Parcel Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the centerline of said Center Street, South 75° 27' 35" West, 293.03 feet, to an angle point in said centerline; thence continuing along said centerline, South 75 degrees 27' 45" }Jest, 160.84 feet, to the Northeast corner of Parcel Map No. 81-254, recorded in Book 178, Pages 22 and 23 of Parcel Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the Easterly line of said Parcel Map No. 81~254, South 14° 24' 48" East, 37.00 feet, to the True Point of Beginning of said line; thence parallel with the centerline of Center Street (realigned), as shown on said Parcel Map No. 86-143, North 75° 27' 40" East, 330.64 feet, to the Westerly line of Philadelphia Street, as shown on said Center Tract. The Southerly tine of said strip shall be lengthened or shortened, so as to originate in the Easterly line of said Parcel Map No. 81-254 and so as to terminate in the Westerly line of said Philadelphia Street, as shown on said Center Tract. Containing an area of 0.059 acres, more or less. Parcel 2 Beginning at the centerline intersection of Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue) and Philadelphia Street, as shown on Parcel Map No. 86-145, recorded in Book 217, Pages 14 and 1S of Parcel Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the centerline of said Center Street, South 75° 27' 35" West, 293.05 feet, to an angle point in said centerline; thence continuing along said centerline, South 75° 27' 45" West, 160.84 feet, to the Northeast corner of Parcel Map No. 81-254, recorded in Book 178, Pages 22 and 25, of Parcel Maps, records of Orange County, California; thence along the Easterly line of said Parcel Map No. 81-254, South 14° 24' 48" East, 37.00 feet; thence ~arallel with the centerline of Center Street realigned), as shown on said Parcel Map No. 86-143, North 75° 27' 40" East, 390.64 feet, to the Easterly line of Philadelphia Street as shown on the map of said Center Tract, said point also being the True Point of Beginning; thence continuing North 75° 27' 40" East, 5.26 feet, to the beginning of a curve, concave -2- Southerly and having a radius of 28.00 feet; thence Easterly, 21.55 feet along a said curve, through a central angle of 45© 40~ 46" to a point, a radial line to said curve at said point bearing North 29° 08' 26" East; thence leaving said curve and parallel with the centerline of said Center Street (realigned), South 75° 27~ 40" West, 24.62 feet, to said Easterly line of Philadelphia Street; thence along said Easterly line, North 14° 23' 56" West, 7.75 feet, to the True Point of Beginning. Containing an area of 144 square feet, more or less. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of Orange County. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of the County of Orange.
