AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.04, SEC-
TION 18.04.020 OF TH, ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
C OD .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN
,'IS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.04, ;vection 18.04.020 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended
bJ adding thereto Paragraph (6) reading as follows:
"SECTION 10.04.020 G;�NERJIL PROVISIONS --USE--
G ''NERAL .
''(6) The maintenance of birds and animals for
,omestic non-commercial use snail be permitted in the
R-0 and R Zones only, and said birds or animals shall not
be maintained in coops, pens or stables or other quarters
*,.itDin forty (40) feet of any window or door of any building
used for human Habitation, or within twenty (20) feet of
side lot lines. Further, t1e maintenance of such birds or
animals sl.iall be sub-iect to t -ie provisions of Chapter 8.08
of this Code and the following:
(a) Poultry, rabbits and cavies small not
exceed 24 biros or animals per acre.
(b) Horses shall not exceed four adult
animals and their immature offspring on a minimum one -acre
site.
(c) Cattle, sheep and goats shall be permitted
on parcels of land -live (5) acres or more in area; however,
the number of such animals shall not exceed a total of two (2)

)er each acre.
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.

introduced at a. regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Anaheim held on the 30th day of November, 1965, and that the
same was duly passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said
City Council held on the 7th day of December, 1965, by the
following vote of the members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Dutton, Pebley, Schutte, Chandler and Krein
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Ordinance No. 2222 on the 7th
day of December, 1965.
