2190ORDINANCE NO. 2190 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMEND- ING TITLE 18 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO ZONING. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES FIND THAT: WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did heretofore duly pass and adopt a resolution in each of the hereinafter numbered reclassifications, recommending amendments to Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and changes in the boundaries of the zones hereinafter mentioned and described, after having held public hearings thereon in the manner and as prescribed in said Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to consider such proposed changes of zones, and after having re- ceived evidence and reports from persons interested therein; and WHEREAS, said City Planning Commission did make find- ings and summaries of its hearings and did recommend changes of zones as set forth in said resolutions; and WHEREAS, upon receipt of said resolutions, reports of findings, summaries of evidence and recommendations of the City Planning Commission, the City Clerk did fix the 10th day of August, 1965, as the time, and the Council Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place, for public hearings upon said proposed amendments to Title 18 of the Anaheim Munici- pal Code and changes of zones, and did give notice thereof in the manner and as provided in said Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hearings, the City Council did hold and conduct such public hear- ings and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did there- upon consider the recommendations of the City Planning Commis- sion, and did adopt a resolution in each reclassification pro- ceeding, finding and determining that Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code should be amended and that changes in the bounda- ries of said zones should be made as set forth in said resolutions. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Title 18 of the Anaheim Municipal Code relating to Zoning be, and the same is hereby, amended by changing the boundaries of the zones set forth in said Title 18 by adopting a sectional Zoning Map or Maps showing such changes as follows: That all of the property and area situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more parti- cularly hereinafter described under separate reclassification numbers, be changed from the zones in which it is now incorpora- ted to the zone indicated for the specific area under each reclassification. Said property is described and designated as follows: se RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-2 PARCEL ONE: Lots 5 and 6, Tract 151, Coffman Subdivision, as� shown cn a Map recorded in Book 11, page 41 of Miscel- laneous Maps, records of said Orange County. EXCEPTING FROM said Lot 6 that portion thereof lying Southwesterly of the Northeasterly line of the 80 foot wide strip of land described in the deed to the State of California, recorded July 5, 1935 in Book 764, page 152 of Official Records of said County. PARCEL TWO: That portion of Lot 7, Tract 151, Coffman Sub- divis o , as shown on a Map recorded in Book 11, page 41 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the Easterly line of said lot, distant Northerly 30.00 feet from the Southeasterly corner thereof; thence along said Easterly line, North 15° 38' 36" West, 109.33 feet, more or less, to the Northeasterly corner of said lot; thence along the Northerly line thereof, South 74° 21' 24" West, 29.97 feet; thence South 15° 48' 02" West, 26.08 feet to a point in the Northeasterly line of the 80 foot wide strip of land described in the deed to the State of California, recorded July 5, 1935 in Book 764, page 152 of Official Records, being a point on the arc of a curve, concave Southwesterly and having a radius of 8,040 feet, a radial to said curve bearing South 470 18' 37" West, thence Southeasterly along said curve, through a central angle of 0° 41' 42" an arc distance of 97.51 feet to the point of beginning. now is C-31 HEAVY COMMERCIAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-2, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-3 That portion of the Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County, described as follows: PARCEL ONE: Beginning at a point 40 feet north of, and 80 feet we of the Southeast corner of said Northwest quarter of Section 27; thence westerly, parallel to the south line of said Northwest quarter, 115 feet; thence northerly, parallel to the east line of said Northwest quarter, 135 feet; thence easterly, parallel to said south line, 135 feet; thence southerly, parallel to said east line, 115 feet; thence southwesterly in a direct line to the point of beginning. PARCEL TWO: Beginning at a point 175 feet North of, and 60 tee`t West of the Southeast corner of said Northwest quarter; thence Northerly, parallel with the East line of said Northwest quarter, 284.07 feet; thence South 890 43' 23" West, parallel with the South line of said Northwest quarter, 340.71 feet, more or less, to a point on a line parallel with, and distant East- erly 265 feet, measured at right angles, from the Westerly line -2- r of said Southeast quarter of the Southeast quarter of the Northwest quarter; thence along said parallel line, South 10 13' 08" East, 106 feet; thence South 890 43' 23" West, parallel with said South line of the Northwest quarter, 265.07 feet, more or less, to said last-mentioned Westerly line; thence along said Westerly line, South 10 13' 08" East, 313.08 feet, more or less, to a point on a line parallel with and distant Northerly 40 feet, as measured at right angles, from the South line of said Northwest quarter; thence Easterly along said last-mentioned parallel line, 471.85 feet, more or less, to a point on a line parallel with and distant Westerly 195 feet, as measured at right angles, from said East line of the Northwest quarter; thence Northerly along said last-mentioned parallel line, 135 feet; thence Easterly, parallel with said South line of the Northwest quarter, 135 feet to the point of beginning. now is R -A, AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-4 The Southeasterly 100 feet of that portion of Lot 27, Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map made by William Hamel and filed in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, a copy of which was filed in the Office of the Orange County Recorder in Book 3, pages 163 and following, entitled "Los Angeles County Maps," described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Southeasterly line of Vermont Avenue, formerly Broad Street, 77 feet wide, adjoining said lot on the North, with the Northeasterly line of Harbor Boulevard, formerly Palm Street, 69.50 feet wide, adjoining said lot on the west; thence Northeasterly along said South- easterly line, 127.34 feet; thence Southeasterly, parallel to said Harbor Boulevard, 224 feet; thence Southwesterly, parallel to said Vermont Avenue, 127.34 feet to said Northeasterly line of Harbor Boulevard; thence Northwesterly along said line, 224 feet to the point of beginning. now is R-1, ONE -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-5 That portion of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast quarter of the Southwest quarter of Section 27, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said county, described as follows: Beginning at a point 40 feet south of, and 85 feet west of the Northeast corner of said southwest quarter; thence Westerly, parallel to the North line of said quarter, 125 feet; thence Southerly, parallel to the East line of said quarter, 150 feet; thence Easterly, parallel to said North line, 150 feet; thence Northerly, parallel to said East line, 125 feet, thence north- westerly in a direct line to the point of beginning. now is R -A, AGRICULTURAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. -3- RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-6 That portion of Lot 26, Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map made by William Hamel and filed in the Office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, a copy of which was filed in the Office of the Orange County Recorder in Book 3, pages 163 and following, entitled "Los Angeles County Maps," described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the southeasterly line of Vermont Avenue, formerly Broad Street, 66 feet wide, adjoining said lot on the northeast, with a line parallel with and dis- tant southwesterly 53 feet, as measured at right angles from the center line of Anaheim Boulevard, shown on said map as Los Angeles Street; thence southwesterly, along said south- easterly line of Vermont Avenue, 117 feet; thence southeasterly, parallel to said Anaheim Boulevard 140 feet; thence Northeast- erly, parallel to said Vermont Avenue, 117 feet to said first mentioned parallel line; thence northwesterly along said parallel line, 140 feet to the point of beginning. now is C-3, HEAVY -COMMERCIAL ZONE and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-7 That portion of the northwest quarter of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 22, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho San ,Tuan Cajon de Santa Ana, City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 10, Miscellaneous Maps, records of said County, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the west line of said northeast quarter, 150 feet southerly of the northwest corner thereof; thence easterly, parallel to the north line of said northeast quarter, 40 feet to the true point of beginning;. thence continuing east- erly, 110 feet; thence northerly, parallel to said west line, 100 feet to a point on a line parallel with and distant south- erly 50 feet, as measured at right angles, from said north line; thence westerly along said last-mentioned parallel line, 95 feet, more or less, to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave southeasterly and having a radius of 15 feet; thence southwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 900 12' 00", an arc distance of 15.05 feet to a point on a line parallel with and distant easterly 40 feet, as measured at right angles, from the west line of said northeast quarter; thence southerly along said last-mentioned parallel line, 85 feet, more or less, to the true point of beginning. now is R -A, AGRICULTURAL ZONE, ancl that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-8 Beginning at a point which is South 740 21' 15" West 40.00 feet and North 15° 36' 55" West 33.00 feet from the center line intersection of Vermont Avenue and Anaheim Boulevard, formerly Los Angeles Street, as said intersection is shown on -4- T- , , `­_­_ - * " ­_ ­ - a map of Tract No. 1194, recorded in Book 38, page 2, Miscel- laneous MaEs, records of said Orange County; thence North 150 36' 55' West, parallel with said Anaheim Boulevard center line, 121.00 feet; thence South 74° 21' 15" West, parallel with said Vermont Avenue center line, 150.00 feet; thence South 150 36' 55" East, 121.00 feet; thence North 74° 21' 15" East, 150.00 feet to the point of beginning. now is R-3, MULTIPLE -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-9 Lots 29 to 36, inclusive, in Block 4 of Summerfield and Oppen- heimer's Subdivision of the Spoerl Tract, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 19, page 44 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. Excepting from said lots the southerly 20 feet. now is C-3, HEAVY COMMERCIAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-2, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. RECLASSIFICATION NO. 65-66-10 The Northwesterly 124 feet of that portion of Lot 27, Anaheim Extension, in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a Map made by Wm. Hamel and filed in the office of the Los Angeles County Recorder, a copy of which is filed in the office of the Orange County Recorder in Book 3, pages 162 et seq., entitled "Los Angeles County Maps," des- cribed as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Southeasterly line of Vermont Avenue, formerly Broad Street, 66 feet wide, adjoining said lot on the North, with the Northeasterly line of Harbor Boulevard, formerly Palm Street, 69.50 feet wide, adjoining said lot on the West; thence Northeasterly along said South- easterly line, 127.34 feet; thence Southeasterly, parallel to said Harbor Boulevard, 224 feet; thence Southwesterly, parallel to said Vermont Street, 127.34 feet to said Northeasterly line of Harbor Boulevard; thence Northwesterly along said line, 224 feet to the point of beginning. now is R-1, ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, and that it be changed to and incorporated in C-1, GENERAL COMMERCIAL ZONE. SECTION 2. The City Zoning Map shall be, and the same is hereby, amended, and the property above described shall be excluded from the zonesin which it is now situated, and incorporated in and made a part of the zone or zones as above set forth, and said City Zoning Map as amended is hereby adopted and the City Engi- neer is hereby directed to prepare a sectional zoning map to be added to the City Zoning Map showing the changes hereby approved and adopted. SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and -5- circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force.
