2140ORDINANCE NO. 2140 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMEND- ING TITLE 8, CHAPTER 8.08, SECTION 8.08.030 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE, RELATING TO LICENSE FEES --DOGS. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. That Title 8, Chapter 8.08, Section 8.08.030 of the Anaheim Municipal Code be, and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 8.08.030 LICENSE FEES - DOGS "There is hereby levied a two-year license of $4.00 upon every dog over the age of six (6) months, owned or harbored within the City of Anaheim. Any person owning or harboring any dog over the age of six (6) months within the City of Anaheim shall pay such license fee. The license fee shall be due and payable on the first day of January every two (2) years. Any person who fails or neglects to pay the said license fee, on or before the first day of February every two (2) years as said license fee becomes due, shall be deemed delinquent under the foregoing provision and shall pay 100% penalty in addition to the prescribed license fee for the license. Any person who comes into ownership of or commences to harbor a dog over the age of six (6) months within the City of Anaheim after the first day of January of each year shall, within thirty days after such time, obtain a license as herein provided for the remainder of the license period in the full amount as provided in this Section. In the event that a dispute should arise over the age of any dog, the owner or harborer of such dog, shall furnish the license collector with documentary proof of the age of such dog, and until such proof is furnished it shall be pre- sumed that such dog is of an age requiring it to be licensed, to wit: the age of six (6) months. SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen (15) days after its adoption, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage it shall take effect and be in full force. me this THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by 4th day of May, 1965.
