RESOLUTION NO. 98R- 134
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING IT'S
INTENTION TO GRANT A FRANCHISE TO
MOBIL OIL CORPORATION FOR PIPELINES
FOR OIL, GAS AND OTHER SUBSTANCES
IN A PORTION OF JEFFERSON STREET
AND ORDERING A HEARING THEREON
WHEREAS, Section 1401 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim
establishes procedures for processing franchises; and,
WHEREAS, Mobil Oil Corporation has been operating a pipeline
In a portion of Jefferson Street pursuant to a franchise granted
by the County of Orange, which franchise has now expired; and,
WHEREAS, Mobil Oil Corporation has made application for a
new franchise to continue to operate pipelines for the trans-
portation of gas, oil and other substances in a portion of
Jefferson Street; and,
WHEREAS, the general terms and conditions of the proposed
franchise are for a term of ten (10) years to place a single
pipeline not exceeding six inches in diameter for the trans-
portation of petroleum, gas, water, waste water, mud and other
substances in Jefferson Street from the Atwood Channel to
Orangethorpe Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed franchise is on file, and
may be viewed at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim.
NOW THEREFOR, the City Council does hereby establish the
following date, time, and place of a hearing on said franchise
where persons having an interest therein or objection to the
granting of the franchise may appear and be heard:

thereafter as the matter may be heard

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to
publish this Resolution, at least once, within fifteen days of
the adoption hereof, in the official newspaper.
