A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM VACATING A PORTION OF CENTER STREET
WEST OF PHILADELPHIA STREET. (87-4A)
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did,
by resolution duly adopted, declare its intention to vacate
certain public streets, highways or public service easements
pursuant to the Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements
Vacation Law; and
WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing to consider said
vacation was posted and published in the manner prescribed by law;
and
WHEREAS, on the 23rd day of June, 1987, a public
hearing was held to allow interested persons to submit evidence
concerning said proposed vacation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does determine that the
public convenience and necessity require the reservation and
exception of the easement(s) and right(s) of way hereinafter
specifically described.
WHEREAS, if and to the extent that there are in place
public utility facilities in use for which easements are not
reserved and excepted by this resolution, the City Council hereby
determines that the public convenience and necessity requires that
no easements be reserved for such facilities.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby order the vacation of a portion of
Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue), more specifically
described as follows:
That certain real property in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California, being portions
of Lots 10 through 15 in the Resubdivision of Block F
of Vinyard Lot DS, Anaheim, together with a portion
of Center Street, adjoining said Lots 10 through 13,
both as shown on a map recorded in Book 1, Page 24,
of Records of Survey, records of said County and
being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the centerline intersection of said
Center Street (formerly Lincoln Avenue) and
Philadelphia Street, as shown on Parcel Map No.
86-143, recorded in Book 217, Pages 14 and 15 of
Parcel Maps, both records of said County; thence
along the centerline of said Center Street South 75
degrees 27' 35" West, 175.52 feet, to the Southeast
corner of said Parcel Map; thence along the Easterly
line of said Parcel Map, North 14 degrees 29' 47"
West, 17.00 feet, to the Northeast corner of Parcel 3
of said Parcel Map, said point being the True Point
of Beginning; thence continuing 75 degrees 27' 40"
East, 149.02 feet, to a point, said point being the
beginning of a non-tangent curve, concave
Northwesterly, and having a radius of 28.00 feet, a
radial line to aid curve at said point bearing North
75 degrees 58' 10" East; thence Southerly,
Southwesterly and Westerly, 43.73 feet, along said
curve, through a central angle of 89 degrees 29' 30",
to a point of tangency with a line parallel with and
27.00 feet Northerly of the centerline of Center
Street realigned per said Parcel Map No. 86-143;
thence along said parallel line South 75 degrees 27'
40" West, 121.04 feet, to the True Point of Beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the vacation authorized by
this resolution shall not be effective until a certified copy of
this resolution is recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
Orange County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified copy of
this resolution to be recorded in the Office of the Recorder of
the County of Orange.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 23rd day of June, 1987-
