87-284RESOLUTION NO. 87R- 284 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WHICH ESTABLISHES RATES OF COMPENSATION FOR CLASSES ASSIGNED TO THE GENERAL CITY EMPLOYEES UNIT REPRESENTED BY THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION WHEREAS, the need exists to assign classifications from the Professional/Technical Management Group to the General City Employees Unit represented by the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has determined that assigning these classifications to the General City Employees Unit represented by the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association ts in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT the City of Anaheim as follows: RESOLVED by the City Council of 1. That effective June 26, 1987 through October 15, 1987, the basic compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed or will in the future be employed in the classifications listed below shall be allocated to the following salary schedule in the Salary Schedule Master: Classification Schedule Number Step Range Auto Parts Buyer Crime Statistics Technician Job Training Program Assistant Maintenance Alde Senior Crime Statistics Technician Systems Analyst X1574 J-E X1431 J-E Xl182 J-E Xl182 J-E X1574 A-E X1904 J-E 2. Incumbents in the job classifications listed under Number 1 of this resolution shall be compensated In accordance with Section 16.4 of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association - General City Employees Unit and the City of Anaheim. On October 15, 1987, Incumbents in the 3ob classifications listed under Number 1 of this Resolution who were in these positions on June 26, 1987, when transferred to the General City Employees Unit of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association shall be compensated as follows: Each incumbent shall receive a performance rating from their department in accordance with the Management Performance Based Merit Program. They will be eligible for a percent increase based upon the middle percent of the appropriate matrix box. However, they will not be considered as part of the management pool. Or, incumbents will receive the percent increase bargained for by the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association on their behalf. Only one (1) increase option as specified in A and B above will be granted to these incumbents. The increase will be whichever is higher. D o Employees hired into the job classifications listed under Number I of this Resolution, after the June 26, 1987, assignment from the Professional/ Technical Management Group will be compensated in accordance with the current Memorandum of Understanding between the General City Employees Unit of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association and the City of Anaheim. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 1985 between the City of Anaheim and the General City Employees Unit of the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association apply to the foregoing classifications effective June 26, 1987.
