A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RESCINDING THE SUBMISSION OF AN
INITIATIVE MEASURE RELATED TO A SPECIAL TAX ON
REAL PROPERTY FOR POLICE FACILITIES AND
SERVICES AND REPEALING RESOLUTION 87R-328.
WHEREAS, on 0uly 28, 1987, the City Council of the City
of Anaheim did adopt Resolution No. 87R-328 submitting to the
voters of the City an initiative measure relating to a special tax
on real property to provide for additional police services and
police facilities to be voted upon at the special municipal
election set for November 3, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has subsequently determined not
to submit said initiative measure to the citizens of the City of
Anaheim at this time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim as follows:
1. The submittal of the initiative measure for a special tax
on real property for police services and facilities set forth in
Resolution No. 87R-328 is hereby rescinded.
2. Resolution No. 87R-328 is hereby repealed.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to communicate this
action to the appropriate official at the County of Orange and
take such other actions necessary to carry out the intent of this
resolution to remove the measure from the November 3, 1987, ballot.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this llth day of August, 1987.
