A RESOLUTION OF ]'HE CI~IY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
BICYCLE AND/OR PEDESTRIAN FUNDS UNDER SB 821
AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF ITS BICYCLE
AND/OR PEDESTRIAN PLAN.
WHEREAS, SB 821 provides that two percent (2%) of each
county's total local Transportation Fund be annually set aside and
used to fund the development of bicycle and pedestrian facilities;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim has planned a bikeway system
in conformance with specifications of the California Department of
Transportation (Caltrans) "Planning and Design Criteria for
Bikeways in California" and the Regional Transportation Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to construct the
master bikeway system within its city utilizing the funds
available under SB 821.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Anaheim
does resolve as follows:
1. To adopt, the Bikeway System in conformance with the
specifications of Caltrans' Planning and Design Criteria for
Bikeways in California and the Regional Transportation Plan.
2. To authorize George Ferrone as the City's authorized
signature and designated contact person.
3. To apply for all funds available to the City of Anaheim
allocated for Bikeways and Pedestrian facilities (SB 821).
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 25th day of August, 1987.
