A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE FIRE CHIEF OR HIS
DESIGNEE TO SUBMIT TWO GRANT APPLICATIONS ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM TO THE FEDERAL
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY OF THE
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR THE
FISCAL YEAR 2020 ASSISTANCE TO FIREFIGHTERS
GRANT PROGRAM (AFG)
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency of the U.S. Department of
Homeland Security (the "Grantor") has heretofore invited public agencies, including the City of
Anaheim,to submit applications to the Grantor for the Fiscal Year 2020 Assistance to Firefighters
Grant Program (AFG) (the "Grant"); and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to submit two applications for the Grant to the
Grantor for Fire Department purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City is familiar with the terms, conditions and limitations of the Grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
1. The Anaheim Fire Chief or his designee is hereby authorized to submit two Grant
applications for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim, a public entity establishedunder
the laws of the State of California.
2. The Anaheim & Rescue Fire Department Emergency Manager, the Anaheim Fire
Chief,or the Anaheim City Manager,or any of their respective designees are authorized
to execute any documents or take any actions necessary in support of the applications
for Grant funds.
3. If Grant funds are awarded, the Fire &Rescue Department budget shall be amended
for the fiscal year in which the funds are awarded.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 9th day of February , 2021 by the following roll call vote:
AYES: Mayor Sidhu and Council Members Faessel, Diaz, Brandman,
Moreno, Valencia, and O'Neil
