A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DECLARING CERTAIN MUNICIPAL PROPERTY IS
NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE AND AUThORIglNG
THE TRANSFER OF SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim is the owner of one obsolete
1967 Seagrave Ladder Truck ("truck") which Fleet Maintenance and
Anaheim Fire Department have determined to be no longer needed for
public use; and
WHEREAS, the market value of the truck has been
determined to be approximately $1,000; and
WHEREAS, the City of La Paz, Mexico, is in need of such a
truck in order to assist in meeting said City's fire suppression
needs; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that transferring the
truck to said City will promote good will and be beneficial toward
fostering positive international relations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council further finds that it would be
in the best interests of the City of Anaheim to transfer the truck
without cost in order to assist said City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of
the City of Anaheim hereby approves the transfer of the herein-
above described fire ladder truck, without cost, to the City of
La Paz, Mexico.
