A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 2014-092, FOR THE PURPOSE OF CREATING
THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
CLASSIFICATION AND RATE OF
COMPENSATION, AND DESIGNATED AS
EXECUTIVE MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, on April 13, 2021, an ordinance was introduced, amending Chapter
1.04.110 of the Anaheim Municipal Code establishing a new Economic Development
Department;
WHEREAS, Section 702 of the City Charter of the City of Anaheim states that
each department so created shall be headed by an officer as department head;
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended in a staff report dated
April 13, 2021, that the need exists to create the classification Economic Development Director
with a corresponding salary range, within the designation of Executive Management;
WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the
Human Resources Director to maintain and administer position classifications and the
compensation plan;
WHEREAS, the addition of a new Executive Management position to the City
of Anaheim's classification and pay policies require an amendment to Section 1 of Resolution
No. 2014-092, as amended; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that creating such
classification with a corresponding salary rangewithin the designation of Executive
Management is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim as follows:
SECTION 1.
1. That, Section 1 of Resolution No. 2014-092, as amended, is further
amended by creating the following classification:
Classification Range
Economic Development Director XER20
SECTION 2.
Except as amended herein, Resolution No. 2014-092, as amended, shall remain in
full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
The effective date of said amendment to Resolution No. 2014-092, as amended,
shall be thirty (30) days following adoption of Ordinance No.6 5 08 .
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim this 13 day of April , 2021, by the following roll call vote:

Moreno, Valencia, and O'Neil
