RESOLUTION NO. 878-508
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ~NAHEIM APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
SPECI~L ~CCOUNT FOR CAPIT~L OUTLAY MONEYS
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have
enacted the Special ~ccount for Capital Outlay (SAFCO), which
provides funds to the State of California and its political
subdivisions for acquiring lands and for developing facilities
for public recreation and historical purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation
has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of
the program within the State, setting up necessary procedures
governing application by local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State
Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant to
certify by resolution the approval of applications prior to
submission of said applications to the State; and
WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances with
which an applicant must comply; and
WHERE~S, the applicant agency will enter into an
agreement with the State of California for the acquisition
and/or development of the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of
Anaheim:
1. Approves the filing of an application for SAFCO
grant assistance for the Child Care Center project; and
2. Certifies that the City of Anaheim understands
the assurances and certification in the application; and
3. Certifies that the City of Anaheim has or will
have sufficient funds to operate and maintain the project; and
4. Certifies that the City of Anaheim has reviewed
and understands the General Provision contained in the
State/local agreement; and
5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City to
conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents
including, but not limited to applications, agreements,
amendments, payment requests and so on which may be necessary
for the completion of the aforementioned project.

THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of December, 1987.
