A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87R -365 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES
OF COMPENSATION AND MANAGEMENT PAY POLICIES FOR CLASSES
DESIGNATED AS PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended
in a staff report dated December 8, 1987, that the biweekly
amount paid for bilingual designation shall be increased to
$40.00, effective October 16. 1987; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend
Resolution No. 87R -365 which established rates of compensation
and management pay policies for classifications designated as
Professional and Technical Management; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that amending Resolution No. 87R -365 by increasing the
biweekly amount paid for bilingual designation to $40.00 is in
the best interest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:
That, effective October 16, 1987, Section 9 of
Resolution No. 87R -365 shall be amended to read as follows:
Section 9.
Employees required to speak, read and /or write in
Spanish or other languages as well as English as part of the
regular duties of their position will be compensated at the rate
of forty dollars ($40.00) per pay period in addition to their
regular pay. The appropriate department head shall designate
which positions shall be assigned bilingual duties and which
languages shall be eligible for bilingual pay.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except to the extent
amended, Resolution No. 87R -365 shall remain in full force and
effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council this .15th day of December
