A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 87R-364 WHICH
ESTABLISHED RATES OF COMPENSATION AND MANAGEMENT
PAY POLICIES FOR CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS
MIDDLE MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISORY
WHEREAS, the Human Resources department has recommended
in a staff report dated December 15, 1987, that the
classification of Treasury Manager be created; that the
classification of Custodial Services Administrator be abolished;
and Management Pay Policy 5.13 be amended to include special
assignment pay for the classification of Fire Marshal; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof. the need exists to amend
Resolution No. 87R 364 which established rates of compensation
and management pay policies for classifications designated as
Middle Management/Supervisory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find that amending Resolution No. 87R-364 Section 2 by
creating the classification of Treasury Manager and abolishing
the classification of Custodial Services Administrator; and
Section 5.13 by adding special assignment pay for the
classification of Fire Marshal is in the best interest of the
City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim as follows:

87R-364 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"An employee assigned to the Fire Battalion
Chief/Operations Division Chief, Fire Battalion
Chief/Training Division Chief. Fire Battalion Chief /
Administrative I>ivision Chief position shall receive
assignment pay equal to ten percent (10%) of the Fire
Battalion Chief salary range midpoint for all hours
except Short Term Disability (STD) or Leave Without Pay
(LW) over 40 hours per pay period, while assigned to
the position. An employee assigned to the position of
Fire Marshal shall receive assignment pay equal to
seven and one-half percent (7 1/2%) of the Fire Marshal
salary range midpoint for all hours except Short Term
Disability (STD) or Leave Without Pay (LW) over 40
hours per pay period while assigned to the position.
Incumbents who are in the classifications of Chief
Utilities Systems Operator. Electrical General
Supervisor. Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Fire
Battalion Chief Police Lieutenant, Street Cleaning
Supervisor, Street Maintenance Supervisor, Water
General Supervisor and Water Production General
Supervisor on June 26,1987. shall receive a one-time
special pay adjustment of 5% or to 104.5% of the salary
range midpoint (whichever is less). effective June 26,
1987. This special one time adjustment is to assist in
providing a pay differential between these management
classifications and bargaining unit classifications
reporting to them."
