A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF. ANAHEIM APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PAR-
TICIPATION OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WITH THE
CITY OF GARDEN GROVE IN THE JUVENILE PRE-TRIAL
DIVERSION PROJECT. AND AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDI-
TURE OF FUNDS IN SUPPORT THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the federal government has heretofore funded
the .Garden Grove Juvenile Diversion Project which is a program
designed to divert juveniles away from the criminal justice .system
and to reduce the population in Juvenile Hall; and
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim desires to participate with
the City of Garden Grove in .a six-month juvenile pre-trial diver-
sion project for the period from January 1976 through June 30,
1976; and
WHEREAS, the cost of participation by the. City. of Anaheim
in such project would be $750.00.
NOW,.THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED.that.the City Council of
the City of Anaheim does hereby approve and authorize the partici-
pation of the. City of Anaheim with the City of Garden Grove in a
juvenile pre-trial diversion project for a six-month period from
January, 1976, through June 30, 1976.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby
authorizes the expenditure of $750.00. as the City's share of the
cost .for_.par:ti.cipation: in said project.-.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted -by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 16th day of December,
1975.
