A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
RESOLUTION NO. 2015-173, AS AMENDED,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF MODIFYING RATES
OF COMPENSATION FOR THOSE
UNREPRESENTED CLASSIFICATIONS
DESIGNATED AS FIRE CADETS
WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the Human
Resources Director to maintain and administer a position classification and compensation plan;
and
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
August 10, 2021, the modification of certain rates of compensation for classifications designated
as unrepresented Fire Cadets, effective the pay period beginning December 24, 2021; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 2015-173 which
established rates of compensation and pay policies for classifications designated as Fire Cadets;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that establishing new rates
of compensation for unrepresented classifications designated as Fire Cadets is in the best interest
of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Human Resources Director shall be
delegated with the authority to publish the authorized salary schedule in any format meeting the
requirements of California Code of Regulations Section 570.5.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
SECTION 1.
1. That Section 3 of Resolution No. 2015-173, as amended, is hereby further amended
by modifying rates of compensation for Fire Cadets, and Resolution No. 2019-003, that established
new rates of compensation is hereby repealed. Effective pay period December 24, 2021, the rates
of compensation plan for all officers and employees of the City of Anaheim who are now employed
or will in the future be employed in the classification listed below shall be allocated to the
following salary schedule:
Classification Steps Hourly te
Fire Cadet 7-9 $15.00 — 15.50
2. The difference between steps for the Fire Cadets shall be twenty-five cents ($.25 cents).
SECTION 2.
Except as amended herein, Resolution No. 2015-173, as amended, shall remain in
full force and effect.
SECTION 3.
The effective date of this Resolution establishing new rates of compensation for
classifications assigned to unrepresented Fire Cadets is December 24, 2021.

City of Anaheim this 10 day of August , 2021, by the following roll call vote:
