A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY' COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CON-
VENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE CONSTRUCTION
AND COMPLETION OF A PUBLIC IMPRO$~MENT~ TO WIT:
THE IMPROVEP~NT OF SAGE PARK PARKING LOT~NO~RTH-
EAST CORNER LIDO LANE AND LIDO PLACE, IN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM JOB NO. 745
APPROVING ?ME DESIGNS~ PLANS~ PROFILES~ DRAWINGS
AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR !HE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF;
AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF SAID PUBLIC IM~
PROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SAID PLANS~ SPECI~
F!CAFIONS= ETC o; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CI%/'f CLERK TO PgTBLISH A NOTICE INVITING
SEALED PROPOSALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION THEREOF~
WHEREAS~ public convenience and necessity require the
comst~uction and completion of a public improvement in the City
.o~ ~naheim~. to wit~
The Improvement oJ~ the Sage Park Parking Lot, northeast
corner of Lido Lane and Lido Place, in the City of
Anaheim, consisting of the removal of existing P.C.C.
and A.C. sidewalks, including haulaway and disposal,
construction of Fortland Cement Concrete curb, curb and
gutter~ sidewalk and driveway, and appurtenant work as
more particularly set fortL in the plans and specifica-
tions on fil~ in t~m Office of the City Clerk or City
Engineer, Job No. 74-5.
gN'D WM~REAS~ the City Council instructed the Public
Works De a~ment , . to prepare detailed designs,
plans, pro~es~ araw~ngs an-~specifications, and estimates of
quanti~ies and costs and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said public improvement; and
W~EREAS, said Public 'i.~orks De~rtment~__~___~_ has
prepared said detailed designs~ p~Ta--~ pr~f-i]-~, drawings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submitted, the same to the City Council~ and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the detailed
designs~ pians, profiles~ drawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentioned, are in accordance with good
engineering practice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of A~aheim and the citizens and resi~
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that they are adequate for the construction of said public
improvement and should be approved.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
~f the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
profiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
~ent hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Public
Works Department o
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
praFared by said Public Works Department and hereby
~ppro'ved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
~pproved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
tc p~blish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
cor~s[ruct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
~tric5 accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
~rawings and specifications as prepared by said public
Works Deoartmen~ , the public improvement hereinabove
me~tioneR and described, and fixing the 27th day of
Au~u~ , 19.~i_~_, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as
ti~ date and hour for the opening of said bids at the City
Ccuncii Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
~h~t said notice shall be published twice, the first of which
t~u~,,z~cat~ons shall, be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
~ixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
~i~ail be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
~dder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
wi~h the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
tlhe City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
installation and completion of said public improvement herein~
above mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
and specifications prepared by said Public Works Department
the notice inviting sealed proposals, this resolution and all
~pp!icable City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the
State of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
insurance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
as specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
~ form approved by the City Attorney.
