cop~stI'uction and completion of a public, improvement in the City
o~ A~naheim.~ to wit°
The Dowling Avenue Sewer Improvement, consisting of the
construction of 15-inch, 12-inch and 8-inch V.C.P. sewer
lines in Dowling Avenue from approximately 156 feet north
of Anaheim Road to approximately 174 feet south of Placentia-
Yorba Boulevard, in the City of Anaheim, including con-
struction of 6-inch V.C.P. house connection, manholes and
wyes; temporary resurfacing, and all appurtenant work as
more particularly set forth in the plans and specifications
on file in the Office of the City Clerk or City Engineer,
Job No. 1278.

quantities and cost~ and make necessary surveys for the con-
struction of said publi~c improvement~ and
~iHEREAS.~, said Public Works D_e_p~rt__ment has
pr pare:d , aid detail, d design$ , profiles, dryings and
specifications for the construction of said public improvement
and has submi'C, te~d t~he saree to the City Council; and
WHEREAS~ the City' Council finds that the detailed
designs~ plans~ profiles~ ~rawings and specifications for said
public improvement above mentionedz are in accordance with good
engineering pract~ice and are adequate to serve the needs and
requirements of the City of Anaheim and the citizens and resi-
dents in said area for the purposes for which they are intended,
and that nhey are adequate for nhe construction of said public
improvement and should be approved°
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
~ the City of Anaheim that the detailed designs, plans,
p, rofiles, drawings and specifications for said public improve-
~ent hereinabove mentioned and described, be, and the same
are hereby, approved and adopted as prepared by said Publi~ .......

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said public improve-
ment shall be constructed in accordance with said detailed
designs, plans, profiles, drawings and specifications as
~epmred by said Public Works Department and hereby
~pproved, and such addenda or modifications thereto as may be
~pproved prior to the awarding of bids therefor.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
t,o p~ublish a notice according to law, inviting sealed proposals
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, and all utilities and transportation, including
~.ower, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
cer~st, ruct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner, in
~t~-ict accordance with said detailed designs, plans, profiles,
c ~w~ngs and specifications as prepared by said Public Works
._Department , the public improvement hereinabove
~e~tioned and described, and fixing the 26th day of
March , 19 64 , at the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. as
the date and hour for~e opening of said bids at the City
C~uncii Chamber in the City Hall in the City of Anaheim, and
~.k..at said p. otice shall be published twice, the first of which
I~:~b'iications shall be at least ten (10) days prior to the date
fixed for the opening of bids, and that said publications
~haii be at least five (5) days apart.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful
~[dder or bidders shall be required to enter into a contract
w[~?: the City of Anaheim in the manner and form approved by
~:i~e~ City Attorney of the City of Anaheim for the construction,
i.r~,stall, ation and completiop, of said public improvement herein~
.~bc've mentioned and described, in accordance with the plans
~p~d specifications prepared by said Public Works Department.
~.h.e '~.otice inviting sealed proposals, this resolution and all
ap, p~!icabl, e City Ordinances or Code Sections and the laws of the
$tat. e of California, and shall be required to post bonds and
i'~surance in the amounts and within the time required by law,
specified in the notice inviting sealed proposals, and in
form approved by the City Attorney.
