RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 92
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125
2000R-126, 2000R-128 AND 2000R-129 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF
COMPENSATION FOR JOB CLASSIFICATIONS DESIGNATED AS ADMINISTRATIVE,
MIDDLE MANAGEMENT, PROFESSIONAL AND SUPERVISORY, POLICE SAFETY
MANAGEMENT AND FIRE SAFETY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report
dated May 25,2004, that Resolutions No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125, 2000R-
126, 2000R-128 and 2000R-129 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending
Resolutions No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125, 2000R-126, 2000R-128 and
2000R-129 is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, as a result thereof, the need exists to amend Resolutions No.
2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125 and 2000R-126, 2000R-128 and 2000R-129 which
established rates of compensation for job classifications designated as Administrative,
Middle Management, Supervisory, Police Safety Management and Fire Safety
Management.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Anaheim that, Section 2 of Resolutions No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125 and
2000R-126 be amended to read as follows:
1. That Section 2 of Resolutions No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125 and
2000R-126 be amended to reflect new rates of compensation for
Administrative, Middle Management, Professional and Supervisory job
classes as stated below:
Section 2.
Classifications listed in Section 1 of this Resolution shall be allocated to salary
ranges providing annual compensation according to the structure listed below:
Effective June 17, 2005:

2. That Section 6 of Resolution No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125 and
2000R-126 be amended to reflect the new rate of compensation for bilingual
skills for Administrative, Middle Management, Professional and Supervisory
job classes, and Section 7 of Resolutions No. 2000R-128 and 2000R-129 be
amended to reflect the new rate of compensation for bilingual skills for Police
Safety and Fire Safety Management job classes, effective the first pay period
following a competency review; and to read as follows:
"Employees required to speak, read and/or write in Spanish or other
languages, as well as English, as part of the regular duties of their position,
will be compensated at the rate of five percent (5%) of base pay, but not less
than sixty dollars ($60.00) per biweekly pay period in addition to their regular
pay as provided under Personnel Rule 6, Premium Pay".
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the effective date of said amendments to
Resolution No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125, 2000R-126, 2000R-128 and
2000R-129 shall be the date of adoption by City Council.
AND, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein,
Resolutions No. 2000R-123, 2000R-124, 2000R-125, 2000R-126, 2000R-128 and
2000R-129 shall remain in full force and effect.
