A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM RENAMING ROMNEYA DRIVE BETWEEN
HARBOR BOULEVARD AND LEMON STREET TO CARL
KARCHER WAY
WHEREAS, Section 34091.1 of the Government Code
authorizes the legislative body of a City to adopt or change the
name of a City street; and
WHEREAS, Section 15.08.100 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code permits the City Council to change the name of a street if
the changed name conforms with the provisions of Chapter 15.08 of
the Anaheim Municipal Code and the Address and Street Name Master
Plan of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to recognize Carl Karcher and
the CKE Headquarters by renaming that portion of Romneya Drive
between Harbor Boulevard and Lemon Street to Carl Karcher Way;
WHEREAS, the renaming of this portion of Romenya Drive
from Harbor Boulevard to Lemon Street is hereby determined to
conform to Chapter 15.08 of the Anaheim Municipal Code and to the
Address and Street Name Master Plan of the City of Anaheim.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the name of that
portion of Romneya Drive between Lemon Street and Harbor
Boulevard is hereby ordered changed to Carl Karcher Way.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be, and she
is hereby, ordered to forward a copy of this resolution to the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange as required by
Government Code Section 34092.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 11th day of August ,
1998.
