RESOLUTION NO. 63R-IOJ4
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL Of THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECEIVED UP TO
THE HOUR Of 2:00 OtCLOCK P.M. ON DECEMB~R 19,
1963, FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NO. 1277.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 26th day of Novem-
ber, 1963, the City Council of the City of Anaheim adopted
Resolution No. 63R-931 finding and determining that public con-
venience and necessity required the construction and completion
of a public improvement, to wit, The Nutwood street Sewer
Improvement, from Glenoaks Avenue to Catalpa Avenue, in the
City of Anaheim, Job No. 1277; and
WHEREAS, the C1tYL Council did authorize and direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice accor€ling to law, inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, mater-
i a 1 sand equ i pment, and a 11 uti 1 it i e 5 and transporta t ion, inc Iud ing
power, fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to con-
struct and complete said public improvement, and did fix the 19th
day of December, 1963, at the hour of 2:00 otclocl{ P.M. as the
da te and hour fo r th e open ing of sea 1 ed proposa 1 s for sa id Job;
and
WHEREAS, only one bid was received by the City of Ana-
heim at the Office of the City Clerk up until the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M. on the 19th day of December, 1963, in response to
the notice published by the City Clerk on December 5th and 12th,
1963; and
WHEREAS, on December 19th, 1963, at thehour of 2:00
o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer did open said
bid, in public, in the City Hall, in the City of Anaheim, and
the City Engineer did report the result of said advertising and
the amount of said bid to the City Council at its next regular
meeting held on the 24th day of December, 1963; and
~~EREAS, the City Council does find that the bid sub-
mitted is in excess of the estimate of the Public Works Department
of the cos t of the sa i d pub 1 ic impro yemen t and tha t sa id b 1d shou ld
be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the Cl ty of Anahe im th at the one bid rece i ved up to the hour of
2:00 P.M. on December 19, 1963, for The Nutwood street Sewer
Improvement, from Glenoalcs Avenue to Catalpa Avenue, in the City
of Anaheim, Job No. 1277, be, and the same is hereby rejected.
