RESOLUTION NO. 63R-1031
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM REJECTING ALL BIDS RECElVEn UP TO
THE HOUR OF 2:00 O'CLOCK P.M. ON DECEMBER 5TH,
1963, FOR PUBLIC WORKS JOB NO. 1275.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 12th day of
November, 1963, the City Council of the City of Anaheim adopted
Resolution No. 63R-900 finding and determining that public con-
venience and necessity required the construction and completion
of a public improvement, to wit: The Polk, Tyler and Coolidge
Avenues Sewer Improvement, from Grand Avenue to Western Avenue,
in the City of Anaheim, Job No. l275; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did authorize ~nd direct the
City Clerk to publish a notice according to law, inviting sealed
proposals for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services,
materials and equipment, and~ all utilities and transportation,
including power, fuel and water, and performing all, work neces-
sary to construct and complete said public improvement, and did
fix the 5th day of December, 1963, at the hour of 2:00 o'clock
P.M., in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, in the City of
Anaheim, as the date, hour and place for the opening of sealed
proposals for said job; and
WHEREAS, on December 5th, 1963, at the hour of 2:00
o'clock P.M., the City Clerk and the City Engineer did open all
bids received up until the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M. on said
date in response to the notice published by the City Clerk on
November 21st and 27th, 1963, in public, in the City Hall, in
the City of Anaheim, and the City Engineer did tabulate said
bids and report the result thereof to the City Council at its
next regular meeting held on the 10th day of December, 1963;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that all bids
submitted are in excess of the estimate of the Public Works
Department of the cost of said public improvement and that all
of said bids should be rejected.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that all bids received up to the hour of
2:00 P.M. on December 5th, 1963, for The Polk, Tyler and
Coolidge Avenues Sewer Improvement, from Grand Avenue to Western
Avenue, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 127S, be, and the same
are hereby rejected.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 24th day of December, 1963.
