C-1 and R-3) BUDGET APPROPRIATIONS FROM PRIOR YEARS~ On the recommendations of the City Manager, it was moved by Councilman Krein, seconded by Councilman Schutte, that appropriations in the amount of $2,497,865°93 be carried over to the 1967-68 Fiscal Year, as listed on report from the Accounting Officer, dated June 30, 1967o MOTION CARRIED~ PROPOSED SALARY ADJUSTMENTS~ The City Manager reported on proposed salary adjustments for City of Anaheim Personnel, and briefed proposed amend- ments to Personnel Rules and Regulations ~et forth in his report dated July 8, 1967 (copies furnished each Councilman)° Mro Murdoch advised of considerable salary changes in the City of Los Angeles, the County of Orange and in industry which have taken place subsequent to the most recent available study information° He thereupon recommended that a blanket salary increase of 5 percent be approved for all full time city personnel, and that the proposed amendments to the rules and regulations be approved~ In answer to Council questioning, Mr~ Murdoch advised that most classificaticns have received a full evaluation, with the exception of a few which will require additional study° He noted that the proposed salary increase would take the place of a mid-year salary adjustments Councilman Schutte moved that the recommendation of the City Manager as to the Personnel Rules and Regulations and the Salary Adjustments be approved, to be effective July 7, 1967, the start of the current pay period, and further moved that the City Attorney be directed to prepare necessary documents for Council action at the next meeting (July 18, 1967)o Councilman Krein seconded the motion° MOTION CARRIED° ASSEMBLY BILL NOo 877: The City Attorney reported that Assembly Bill NOo 877 Preemption -
