A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS IN CONNECTION WITH
VARIANCE NOS. 635, 1938, 1964 AND 2281
WHEREAS, on October 1, 1956 the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No. 68,
series 1956-57, to grant Variance No. 635 to construct a service station, restaurant and 2-story, 62-unit
motel with two swimming pools on property located at the southeast corner of Manchester Avenue and
Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on January 15, 1968 the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No.
PC68-18 to grant Variance No. 1938 for waiver of off-street parking spaces for a restaurant and theater
located southeast of the southeast corner of Manchester Avenue and Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on May 7, 1968 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 68R-235 to
approve Variance No. 1964 for waivers of maximum sign height, maximum sign area and permitted sign
location to permit finro free-standing signs at 1414 South Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on January 11, 1972 the City Council adopted Resolution No. 72R-8 to
approve Variance No. 2281 for waivers of aggregate sign area, maximum number of signs, location of
signs and minimum distance between signs to permit construction of an additional freestanding sign on
property located southeast of the southeast corner of Manchester Avenue and Harbor Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, on April 23, 2001 the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No.
PC2001-42 to grant Conditional Use Permit No. 2001-04346, in part, to construct a 6,581 sq.ft. full-
service semi-enclosed restaurant at 1400 South Harbor Boulevard with waiver of permitted number of
wall signs and Sign Standard Matrix requirements; and that Condition No. 6 of said resolution speci~es
that the property owner to submit a letter to the Planning Department requesting termination of Variance
Nos. 635, 1938, 1964 and 2281 because said petitions are no longer needed; and
WHEREAS, the property owner has submitted a letter requesting termination of the
above-mentioned variances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission
does hereby terminate all proceedings in connectiori with Variance Nos. 635, 1938, 1964 and 2281 on the
basis of the foregoing findings.
