Resolution-PC 2003-24n RESOLUTION NO. PC2003-24 U A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COUNCIL ADOPTION OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 2003-00409 PERTAINING TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Council did adopt the Anaheim General Plan by Resolution No. 69R-644, showing the general description and extent of possible future development within the City; and WHEREAS, Planning Commission did direct staff to initiate an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to redesignate certain property from the General Commercial land use designation to the Low-Medium Density Residential land use designation on arectangularly-shaped 0.19- acre property having a frontage of 49 feet on the south side of Lincoln Avenue, a maximum depth of 170 feet and being located 1,280 feet west of the centerline of Brookhurst Street; and WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Anaheim Civic Center, Council Chamber, 200 South Anaheim Boulevard, on January 27, 2003, at 1:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim Municipal Code, to hear and consider evidence for and against said General Plan Amendment and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Gornmission,-after due-consideration., insp.ection., investigation and study made by itself, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, DOES HEREBY FIND: ~i . T hat t he evidence presented subs#antiates the need fc~r an amendment to the Anaheim General Plan and that, therefore, Exhibit A should be adopted redesignating subject area for Low-Medium Density Residential land uses. 2. That no one indicated their presence at the public hearing in opposition to the proposal; and that no correspondence was received in opposition. CALIFORNIA ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY ACT FINDING: That the Anaheim City Planning Commission has reviewed. the proposal to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan to change the land use designation from General Commercial to Low-Medium Density Residential on a rectangularly-shaped 0.19 acre property having a frontage of 49 feet on the south side of Lincoln Avenue, a maximum depth of 170 feet and being is located 1,280 feet west of the centerline of Brookhurst Street; and does hereby approve the Negative Declaration upon finding that it has considered the Negative Declaration together with any comments received during the public review process and further finding on the basis of the initial study and any comments received that there is no evidence that the project will have a significant effect on the environment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that pursuant to the above findings, the Anaheim City Planning Commission does hereby adopt and recommend to the City Council of the City of Anaheim adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 2003-00409, Exhibit A, pertaining to the Land Use Element to redesignate the study area from the General Commercial land use designation to the Low- Medium Density Residential land use designation. cr\PC2003-024.doc -1- PC2003-024 THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the Planning Commission meeting of January 27, 2003.
