RESOLUTION NO. PC2003-55
A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
TERMINATING ALL PROCEEDINGS IN CONNECTION WITH
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT NO. 660
WHEREAS, on January 4, 1965, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did, by its
Resolution No. 1476, Series 1964-65, grant Conditional Use Permit No. 660 to establish a training school for
medical and dental assistants at 1717 South Brookhurst Street; and that said use no longer exists; and
WHEREAS, Abdel-Jabbar Hamdan, representing the owner of 1717 South Brookhurst
Street, West Coast Islamic Society, has submitted a letter requesting termination of Conditional Use Permit
No. 660 to complywith Condition No. 18 of Resolution No. PC2001-21, adopted in connection with
Conditional Use Permit No. 2000-04289 (to permit a religious and cultural education center), which requires
the property owner to request termination of Conditional Use Permit No. 660 and Variance No. 1294 (to
operate a children's dance studio at 1709 South Brookhurst Street); but that it has been determined that
Variance No. 1294 also pertains to adjacent property which is not owned by the property owner of 1717
South Brookhurst Street and, therefore, Variance No. 1294 should not be terminated; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning Commission does
hereby terminate all proceedings in connection with Conditional Use Permit No. 660 on the basis of the
foregoing findings.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the Planning Commission meeting of the
21 S` April, 2003.
