Resolution-PC 2007-88. • RESOLUTION NO. PC2007-88 ` ARESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIMPLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTING THE PLATINUM TRIANGLE WATER SUPPLY ` ASSESSMENT AMENDMENT WHEREAS, the California Legislature enacted Senate Bi11610 (Water Code Section 10910) which mandates that the retail water utility must prepare a Water Supply Assessment (WSA) for any development project that (i) is subject to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and (ii) exceeds 500 residential units, or equivalent water demand for shopping centers, business establishments, and commercial developments; and, WHEREAS, the Gene Autry Experience is a proposal to develop up to 1,208 residential units, ` 100,000 sguare feet of commercial uses and 50,000 square feet of commercial "uses on 17.5 acres iocated at 1969 South>State College Boulevard, within The Platinum Triangle; and, WHEREAS, the Gene Autry Experience is subject to compliance with the provisions of CEQA since said project requires approval of the following discretionary actions by the City ofAnaheim: (i) General Plan Amendment Na 2006-00446, (ii) Miscellaneous'Case Na 2006-00162 (Amendment to The Platinum ' Triangle Master Land Use Plan), (iii)Zoning CodeAmendmenYNa 2007-00054, (iv)'Conditional Use Permit Na ' 2006-05134, (v) DeJelopment Agreement Na 2006-00004, (vi) Tentative Tract Map'No. 17089; and; WHEREAS, the Anaheim Public Utilities Department (APUD) prepared a WSA dated February 2005, for The Platinum Triangle, in accordance with Section 10910 of the California Water Code, and said WSA was approved by City Council on October 25, 2005; and, WHEREAS, the Gene Autry Experience proposes a development intensity greater than the intensity analyzed by the WSA dated February 2005; and, WHEREAS, the APUD prepared The Platinum Triangle Water Supply Assessment Amendment (WSA Amendment), dated January 2007, for the Gene Autry Experience, in accordance with Section 10910 of the California Water Code; and, WHEREAS, the WSA Amendment concluded that water supplies to serve the City's water ' service area, including The Platinum Triangle and the Gene Autry Experience, are sufficient for the next 20 years; and, : WHEREAS, APUD submitted the WSA Amendment to the Planning Department for inclusion and consideration in the CEQA documentation prepared for the Gene Autry Experience (EIR Na 335); and, WHEREAS, on July 9, 2007, the Anaheim Planning Commission certified EIR No. 335; approved Conditional Use Permit No. 2006-05134 and Tentative Tract Map No. 17089; and recommended City Council approval of General Plan Amendment No. 2006-00446, Miscellaneous Case No. 2006-00162 (Amendment to The Platinum Triangle Master Land Use Plan), Zoning Code Amendment No. 2007-00054 and Development Agreement No. 2006-00004; and, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Anaheim Planning Commission that The Platinum Triangle Water Supply Assessment Amendment dated January 2007 is hereby approved and adopted.
