A RESOLUTION OF THE ANAHEIM CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
APPROVING A NEGATNE DECLARATION
AND APPROVING RECLASSIFICATION N0. 2008-00225
(1170 NORTH LA PALMA PARK WAY)
WHEREAS, the Anaheim City Planning Commission did receive a verified
PetiCion for Reclassification on certain real property siCUated i^ Che City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, shown on Exhibit "A", attached hereto and incorporated herein by
this reference; and
WHEREAS, this property was previously developed with the Disney GOALS
youth development facility and is in the Multiple-Family Residential (RM-~I) zone with a
General Plan land use designation of Pazks; and
WHEREAS, the applicant and property owner have requested approval of a
Reclassification to reclassify the property from Che Multiple-Family Residential (RM-4) zone to
Che Public Recreation (PR) zone, consistent with the General Plan land use designation of Parks;
and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did hold a public hearing at the Civic
Center in the City of Anaheim on February 2, 2009 at 2:30 p.m., notice of said public hearing
having been duly given as required by law and in accordance with the provisions of the Anaheim
Municipal Code, Chapter 18.60 "Procedures", Co heaz and consider evidence for and against said
proposed reclassification and to investigate and make findings and recommendations in
connection therewith; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investigation and study made
by itself and in its beltalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearing, does find and determine the following facts:
1. That reclassification of subject property from the Multiple-Family
Residential (RM-4) zone to the Public Recreation (PR) zone would be consistent with the
property's existing Parks land use designation on the General Plan.
2. That the proposed reclassification of subjecC property is necessary and/or
desirable for the orderly and proper development of the community.
3. ThaC the proposed reclassification of subject property does properly relate to
the zones and their permitted uses locally established in close proximity to subject property and
Co the zones and their permitted uses generally established throughout the community.
4. That no one indicated their presence at said public hearing in opposition; and
that no correspondence was received in opposition to subject petition.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Anaheim City Planning
Commission has reviewed the proposal and does hereby find that the Negative Declaration is
adequate to serve as the required environmental documentation in connection with this request.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Anaheim City
Planning Commission does hereby unconditionally approve the subject Reclassification to
authorize an amendment to the Zoning Map of the Anaheim Municipal Code to exclude the
above-described property from the Multiple-Family Residential (RM-4) zone and to incorporate
said described property into the Public Recreation (PR) zone.
BE TT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall not constitute a rezoning
of, or a commitment by the City to rezone, the subject property; any such rezoning shall require
an ordinance of the City Council, which shall be a legislative act, which may be approved or
denied by the City Council at its sole discretion.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION was adopted at the Planning Commission
meeting of Febmary 2, 2009. Said resolution is subject to the appeal provisions set forth in
Chapter 1.8.60 "Procedures" of the Anaheim Municipal Code pertaining to appeal procedures and
may be replaced by a City Counci] Resolution in the event of an appeal.
