RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 226
A RESOLUTIO OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING RES LUTION NO. 97R-101 WHICH ESTABLISHED RATES OF
COMPENSATION FO NON-REPRESENTED PART-TIME JOB CLASSIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the Hu an Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
November 16, 2004, that R solution No. 97R-101 be amended in the manner hereinafter set
forth effective November 19, 2004; and
WHEREAS, as are ult thereof, the need exists to amend Resolution No. 97R-101 which
established rates of compe sation for classifications designated as Non-Represented Part-
Time; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution
No. 97R-101 is in the best i terest of the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
Section 8 be added to Res 'ution No. 97R-101 to read as follows:
"8. Effective Novem er 19, 2004, employees in the classifications of Building Inspector
II, Building Inspector III and IBuilding Inspection Supervisor hired on a part-time basis who
maintain certification in goo standing as provided by the International Conference of Building
Officials (ICBO) shall receiv $0.48 per hour for each hour worked on a biweekly basis in
addition to their regular hou ,Iy rate of pay. Part-Time employees in these classifications who
possess two (2) or more sp cialty certifications, or a Combination Inspector certificate, and who
maintain certification in goo standing as provided by the ICBO shall receive $0.72 per hour for
each hour worked on a biwekly basis in addition to their regular hourly rate of pay.
Probationary empoyees are not eligible for inspection certification pay."
BE IT FURTHER R SOLVED that the effective date of said amendment to Resolution
No. 97R-101 is November 1 ,2004.
AND, BE IT FURTH R RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No.
97R-101 shall remain in full Worce and effect.
