A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCll.., OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 92R-17 TO AMEND RULE 33 (POST-
RETIREMENT MEDICAL BENEFITS) AS IT RELATES TO MEMBERS
OF THE CITY COUNCll.., AND THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated
December 14,2004, that Resolution No. 92R-17 be amended in the manner hereinafter set forth,
effective immediately upon adoption; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that amending Resolution
No. 92R-17 eliminating post-retirement health benefits for members of the City Council and the
Redevelopment Agency is in the best interest of the City of Anaheim; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as
follows:
1. That Section 33.06 of Rule 33 (Post-Retirement Health Benefits) be amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
"33.06 The City Manager, City Attorney, City Treasurer and City Clerk who are
eligible under the provisions of Section 33.03 of this RULE shall receive a
minimum benefit of seventy-five percent (75%) as described in Section
33.0351. Any Employee (as defined in this RULE) who serves in one or
more additional positions also eligible for benefits under this RULE, shall be
entitled to a single benefit hereunder."
2. That Section 33.07 of Rule 33 (Post-Retirement Health Benefits) be amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
"33.07 Employees or City Council and Redevelopment Agency Members
hired/appointed/elected on or after January 1, 2002, shall not be eligible for
any post-retirement medical benefits under this Personnel Rule 33."
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall be effective immediately upon
adoption.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, except as amended herein, Resolution No. 92R- 1 7 shall
remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Anaheim this 14th day of December ,2004, by the following roll call vote:
