A RESOLU~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHE M fu~ENDING RESOLUTION NO. 70R-82
CONCERNI G THE WATER RATES RULES AND REGULA-
TIONS OF ITHE CITY OF ANAHEIM PERTAINING TO
6-INCH, ~-INCH AND lO-INCH METERS BY ADDING
TO THE W4TER RATES RULES AND REGULATIONS,
REGULATIqN NO.7.
WHEREAS,6-inch, a-inch and lO-inch water meters
create a high cost lof stocking spaces in the warehouses of
the City of Anaheici because of their size and bulk; and
WHEREAS, Ithere exists on a 6 or 8 or IO-inch meter
a delay on deliver~ time to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEHEAS, :there is a need to establish a flat rate
for the water deli~ered to a customer prior to the installation
of a 6-inch, 8-inc4 or lO-inch meter; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary and in the best interests
of the City to giv~ the Utilities Director of the City of Anaheim
the authority to e~tablish temporary rates where it appears that
water will be used jprior to the installation of a 6, 8 or lO-inch
meter.
NOW, THEtFORE'BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahei that Reso.lution 70R-82 concerning the water
rates rules and re ulations of the City of Anaheim be, and the
same is hereby ame .ded by adding Rule No. 7 to the rules and
regulations of the iCity of Anaheim Water Department to read as
follows:

WATER
Service
Applicab~e to all conswners of water furnished by the
City of 4naheim for 6-inch, 8-inch and IO-inch meters
wherein ~aid meters are not available for installation
at the tjjme of the establishment of water service rate.
1. Flat R~te Charge
All consumers of water in the City of Anaheim
desiri~g tile connection to 6-inch, 8-inch or
lO-incn meters wherein the meters are not avail-
able a'ti the time of connection of the service
shall Hay the following charge per monthly service:
The amqunt of customer charge service per month
per 6-~nch, 8-inch or lO-inch meter as established
by the General Water Service Schedules plus the
minimu~ monthly charge for 6-inch, 8-inch or lO-inch
meter ~s established by the General Water Service
Schedu~es added together to create the total charge
for the connection service for the interim period
bebveen the time that the service is connected and
a 6-inqh, a-inch or lO-inch meter is delivered and
instal~ed.

2. Excess Charges
The Ut~lities Director is hereby given the author-
ity to:establish temporary rates which may be higher
than t~e above mentioned schedule if it appears
that v ry large quantities of water will be used
so tha, the minimum charge established above would
be detJtimental to the best interests of the City."
BE IT FU~THER RESOLVED that except for the foregoing
correction, all otijer provisions of Resolution No. 70R-82 shall
remain in full forqe and effect.
