70R-506 RESOLUTION NO. 70R-S06 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RE~OLUTION NO. 63R-9l0 AND SUPERSEDING RESOLU- TION NO. 67~-409, AMENDING PERSQNNEL RULE NO. 18 INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENTr,MVE. BE IT RESOL~ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM that Personnel Rule No. 18 Industrial Accident Leave is hereby amended to read as follows: RULE 18. INDUSTRIAL ACCIDENT LEAVE Section 18.0 In the ~vent that any employee in the classified service is absent from work as a result of any injury or disease which comes under the State of California Wqrkmen's Compensation Insurance and Safety Act, such absence shall be cons~dered to be industrial accident leave. , Section 18.1 Any employee on industrial accident leave shall receive com- pensation from the Ci~y in an amount equal to the difference between payments from the State Compen~ation Insurance Fund and his regular basic rate of pay. Section 18.2 Industrial accident leave shall begin on the first day of such absence as defined in Section 18.0. 18.21 Industrial accident leave shall continue during all absences due to la single injury, but not to exceed one year of accu- mulated absence. 18.22 Industrial accident leave benefits provided by this RULE shall ~pply to each injury or disease as defined in Section 18.0. 18.23 The ef~ective date of a permanent disability rating. as awarded by the ~orkmen's Compensation Appeals Board ends eligibility for industrial accident leave for that particular i~jury or disease. 18.24 A writQen statement from the treating physician that the employ~e's condition is permanent and stationary or separa- tion f~om City service ends eligibility for industrial accident leave for that particular injury or disease. 18.25 Industrial accident leave for absence due to 1nJury or disease as defined in Section 18.0 shall be granted to employaes only upon presentation of a physician's certi- ficate of treatment. Section 18.3 No emp~oyee shall have accrued sick leave deducted while on industrial accident leave. Vacation and sick leave shall continue to accrue for any employee on i~ustrial accident leave in accordance with the pro- visions of RULE 16 and RULE 17. Section 18.4 The pro~isions of this RULE shall apply also to the City Manager, City Attorney, City Clierk, and City Treasurer.
