RESOLUTION NO. 70R- 482
A RESOL~ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAH IM ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON-
MENT OF ORTIONS OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY
DESCRIB~ HEREIN.
WHEREAS,i the City Council of the City of Anaheim did
on the 15th day ofl September, 1970, declare by Resolution No.
70R-456 its inten~ion to vacate and abandon portions of certain
real property desclribed herein and did set the 6th day of October,
1970, for a publici hearing thereon; and
WHEREAS, on said 6th day of October, 1970, at 1:30 o'clock
P.M. in the Counci~ Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim,
said public hearins was held; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from the evidence sub-
mitted at said pu~ic hearing that portions of the real property
described herein apd in said Resolution of Intention are unneces-
sary for present Qr prospective use as easements.
NOW, TH~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anahe~:
1. That it ifinds that said public hearing was properly
held andl that all notices were given and pUblica-
tions m~e as required by law.
2. That tho~e portions of the real property toward which
a reques~ for vacation and abandonment was directed are
not nece~sary for present or prospective use as ease-
ments an~ does hereby order that said portions, as
herein s~t forth, be and they are hereby vacated, aban-
doned an~ closed to public use.
3. That sai~ portions of real property herein ordered
vacated, abandoned and closed to public use are situated
in the C~ty of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
Californ~a, and are more particularly described as
follows, to wit:
PARCEL ONE:
That portion pf a former Anaheim Union Water Company right
of way 33 fee~ wide for a pipe line and the conveyance of
water and irr~gation purposes lying within fractional North-
west quarter pf Section 7, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
S.B.B. & M., ~cquired by the City of Anaheim by quit claim
deed recordedi September 25, 1964, in Book 7235, page 256, 257
and 258, reco~ds of Orange County, California, the centerline
of which is dbscribed as follows:
Commencing at the northwest corner of the fractional northwest
quarter of sa~d Section 7, said northwest corner being for
the purposes Of this description, the centerline intersection
of La Palma Ayenue and Rio Vista Street; thence South 00 10'
5811 West, 500 feet along the centerline of said Rio Vista
Street to the true point of beginning of the centerline herein

described; t~nce following along a line in a generally
Northeasterly] direction, 950 feet, more or less, to an inter-
section with ~he southerly right of way line of the Riverside
Freeway, saidi point of intersection being the point of
terminus of ~e line herein described, said point of inter-
section and iint of terminus being distant northerly 22 feet
from the sou west corner of Lot 22, Block K of the Kraemer
Tract, as sh n on a Map recorded in Book 12, page 87 of
Miscellaneous! Maps, records of Los Angeles County, California.
PARCEL TWO:
An easement tp construct, use, maintain, alter, add to,
repair, replaPe and/or remove in, on and over the land
described in certificate No. 11,619, an electric line con-
sisting of pqles, necessary guys and anchors, cross arms,
wires and ot~r fixtures and appliances for conveying elec-
tric energy tp be used for light, heat, power, telephone,
and/or other jpurposes. All poles shall be erected and main-
tained within one foot of the following described line as
conveyed to ~e Southern California Edison Company Ltd., a
corporation, iof Deeds recorded in Book 177, page 42, records
of Los Angel~s County, California, and transferred to the
City of Anah~im to be abandoned described as follows:
Beginning at ,a point in the southerly line of property of
grantors, wh~ch point is 40 feet easterly, measured thereon
from the wes~erly line thereof; thence Northerly parallel to
said Westerl~ line to a point which is 65 feet southerly,
measured at ~ight angles from the northerly lines of said
property; th~ce Easterly parallel to said northerly line
to a point in the northeasterly line of said property.
AND BE ~T FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and
she is hereby aut~orized and directed to cause a certified copy
of this Resolution and Order, attested by her under the seal of
the City of Anahe~, to be recorded in the Office of the County
Recorder of Orange County, California.
